Joe Kinder was appointed Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Distribution in July 2020 and is responsible for all supply chain activities from domestic and overseas suppliers to our end customers.  Mr. Kinder joined The Tile Shop in March 1993 as a sales associate at our Bloomington, Minnesota store.  From March 1994 to August 1995, he was the Assistant Store Manager at the Shawnee, KS store, our second location outside of Minnesota.  From August 1995 until June 2012, Mr. Kinder served as our Supply Chain Manager and was responsible for strategies related to our buying, procurement, inventory control, logistics and distribution.  From June 2012 through July 2017, he was the Senior Vice President — Operations and continued his oversight and responsibility related to our supply chain function.  Mr. Kinder holds a B.A. in Business from the College of Saint Thomas and is a member of CSCMP and APICS.

Joe’s favorite tile job would incorporate white with grey-veined marble as the main tile with other color marbles used as accents.  All of his bathrooms in his home involve the use of many marbles from several different countries.
